We will look closely at materials and how to sort them into different groups, as well as finding materials we can reuse at the craft station.
We will then be looking at other environments, identifying similarities and differences and describing different things we can see. We will look at places such as the Antarctic with the story Lost and Found –Oliver Jeffers and Africa with the story The Ugly Five – Julia Donaldson. We will look at different weathers, animals and communities.
Towards the end of the term, we will be learning about the seasons with emphasis on Spring. We will look at plants and growth closely and learn how to look after a plant. The children will have experience growing their own plants and looking after them. This will also involve books such as Jack and the Beanstalk and Superworm-Julia Donaldson.
