  • Designed and delivered to meet the needs of all our children
  • Enhanced by technology
  • Enriched with broader experiences and a community perspective
  • Underpinned by a critical thinking pedagogy
  • Aligned to our vision for a just and sustainable world

Our broad and balanced curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all children at Littlecoates Primary Academy and to inspire lifelong learning.  It is an exciting and transformational curriculum, which aims to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, values and attitudes the children need to thrive and create positive change in our increasingly interconnected, interdependent, and technology driven world.

Building on prior learning, the children engage in rich and varied learning experiences. They develop a thirst for knowledge and understanding, build resilience, and become creative, critical thinkers.

Running through each aspect of our curriculum is a golden thread aligned with the UN’s Global Goals, which encourages the children to consider the world around them and focus on issues of social justice and sustainability. Through regular philosophical enquiry, the children develop the ability to think with others and think for themselves more effectively.

We create access to a wide range of enrichment opportunities, extending beyond the classroom, to broaden the children’s horizons and nurture their aspirations.

Children at Littlecoates love learning and they leave as happy, confident, caring and compassionate individuals with a strong sense of community, belonging and purpose. They see themselves as active citizens with the power to change the world!
